Ecological vent gas disposal that reduces operating costs

Efficient solutions using flare gas compressors

Why use vent and flare gas compressors?

Emissions regulations in the chemical industry are becoming increasingly stringent, resulting in increased costs for operators who are compelled to install downstream gas cleaning systems. One way to reduce these expenditures is to minimize the gas flow – something that can be accomplished with a compressor that liquefies part of the gas and processes the residual gas for optimal combustion. Our L_Series compressors have proven themselves many times over in these applications, and offer tremendous advantages which help to ensure the required high degree of reliability and availability.

Take advantage of our experience

With its roots in the Nash Engineering Company and the Siemens AG, nash_elmo can boast of a century of experience in liquid-ring technology. This experience, together with a tremendous amount of expertise, is the basis for the construction and design of all our solutions – and not just compressors in vent gas applications, but our vacuum pumps as well. These vacuum pumps are capable of conveying up to 2 bar (30psi) gauge pressure from the vacuum side. Our liquid-ring compressors can output up to 15 (220 psig) bar and have a suction capacity up to 4,000 m3/h (2,400 acfm). nash_elmo offers you a uniquely comprehensive range of vacuum pumps and compressors suitable for all processes in the petrochemical industry. Always tailored to your individual needs, they can be integrated into complete turnkey systems, and delivered with our expert consulting

Vent and flare gas applications with the L_Series

A liquid-ring compressor condenses process gases during compression and consequently separates them from the process for further treatment or disposal. Only the residual gas is channeled to the cleaning system. This method is not only environmentally sound but also ensures compliance with the strictest emissions standards – while at the same time minimizing operating costs. The unit is easy to integrate in the process, when a suitable operating liquid is selected. The liquid ring serves to dissipate compression power and flushes out any particles conveyed, enabling this system to meet the highest demands for safety and explosion protection.

Minimum maintenance and maximum availability: the L_Series

The simple, contact-free operating principle of the L_Series has prevailed in the most challenging processes in the chemical industry. It is absolutely reliable, pulsation-free, low-maintenance, explosion-proof and easily integrated into the process.
